At Vic West Pet Hospital, we are passionate about your pets and strive to provide the best care for your best friend.

Dr. Shergill is a passionate, gentle, caring and a dedicated

Veterinarian. His love for animals and plants comes from

having been brought up on a farm.

He has been a veterinarian for almost 3 decades, and

completed his Bachelor Of Veterinary Sciences And

Animal Husbandry from PAU in 1987.

Dr Shergill has been practicing small animal

medicine and surgery in Canada since 2009.

He moved to Canada with wife Dr. Manjinder Shergill

and sons. After witnessing their father's love and passion

for the Veterinary Profession, both of his sons also decided to go to Vet School.

In his spare time Dr Shergill loves to go hiking and take care of his garden.

Dr. Dixie, the current boss of our clinic, came to us from a loving home that, due to unforeseen circumstances, had to give her up. She won our staff over with her calm demeanor and caring nature to both feline and canine patients.

Dixie is a young Siberian and aside from her role as clinic ambassador, Dixie loves sitting in boxes, chasing toys and eating food she shouldn't. Please come in to say hello to her!

Dr. Sunny Mann graduated Veterinary Sciences in 2015 and he got his Masters degree in 2017. He worked for the Government of Punjab, India, for 2 years.

Currently he is preparing for and undergoing  the licensing process to be a veterinarian in Canada. He loves dogs and cats but misses working with larger livestock. He enjoys spending time with his family, friends, pets and camping.

Breanna grew up in the Cowichan Valley in a tiny house filled with animals. She joined our team as an assistant in 2017 while attending UVic.

Breanna has since moved into the manager's role in clinic, graduated with a Bachelors of Science and has plans to further her education in the Veterinary Sciences.

In her spare she is an avid reader, drinks far too much coffee, and enjoys outdoor adventures with her partner, Soren, and their 15 year old puppy, Snoopy.

After growing up in an animal-loving household on the Mainland, Ashleigh moved to Victoria with her husband in 2012 and has plans to never leave this wonderful place!

After obtaining degrees and diplomas in Social Sciences and Business Administration, Ashleigh moved into the world of animals. After her son was born in 2014, Ashleigh took some time off to care for him before returning to the workforce and finding a home helping Breanna manage the clinic.

When she isn't working, Ashleigh enjoys spending her time outside gardening, camping, hiking or riding her bike, all with her family (both the two - and four-legged members).

After completing her Bachelor of Arts, Jenna went to Ireland where she lived and worked for sometime before travelling around Europe. When she returned to Victoria she completed some online schooling while she was figuring out what she wanted to do as a career. Eventually she decided to put her love of animals to use and started working at Vic West Pet Hospital.

Now she gets to spend her days surrounded by by all that cats and dogs that come into the clinic, and giving them as many pets as they want. In her free time she likes to be with her own dog, Loli, either at home cuddling or outside hiking, camping, or walking along the beach.

Raised in Alberta on a llama farm, Alla has since taken her love for animals around Southeast Asia and is back in Canada now to learn the tricks of the trade in veterinary technology. She hopes to take her diploma around the world to help as many different animals as possible. Until then, she will be in Victoria assisting all of our lovely clients and completing her diploma

Lannah is our resident cat lady. She comes to us all the way from Nova Scotia with her 4 cats. She has over 5 years experience in the animal field; from shelters to emergency care and regular practice. While she specializes in feisty felines she loves all animals.

Lucy lives and has grown up in Esquimalt surrounded by a family of animals, especially senior hospice shelter dogs. Currently enrolled in the Esquimalt High Challenge Program, Lucy is now in the process of completing her Grade 12 year, focusing in sciences.

As a current receptionist and former volunteer, she hopes to go onto veterinary sciences in the future after a gap year travelling.

In her spare time she spends it excessively reading, volunteering, and with her fur baby Sammy at the beach!
