Dr. Vandeep Shergill
Veterinarian and Founder
Dr. Shergill is a passionate, gentle, caring and a dedicated
veterinarian. His love for animals and plants comes from
having been brought up on a farm.
​
He has been a veterinarian for almost 3 decades, and
completed his Bachelor Of Veterinary Sciences And
Animal Husbandry from PAU in 1987.
Dr Shergill has been practicing small animal
medicine and surgery in Canada since 2009.
​
He moved to Canada with wife Dr. Manjinder Shergill
and sons. After witnessing their father's love and passion
for the veterinary profession, both of his sons also decided to go to vet School.
​
In his spare time Dr Shergill loves to go hiking and take care of his garden.

Associate Veterinarian
Meet Dr Harvan, a dedicated veterinarian with 5 years of experience in providing exceptional care for a wide range of animal patients. With a deep passion for promoting the well-being of animals, Dr Harvan brings a compassionate and knowledgeable approach to their practice. Beyond their work with animals, He finds joy in sports and travel. Whether it's engaging in outdoor activities or exploring new destinations, Dr Harvan values staying active and experiencing different cultures to bring a fresh perspective to his veterinary practice. He looks forward to meeting new furry friends and their owners, while sharing his love for animals and life's adventures.
Dr. Bvan Shergill
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Bvandeep Shergill is more than just a veterinarian; he is a trusted partner in the health and happiness of the pets he serves. His passion for animals, coupled with his professional expertise, makes him a respected figure in the veterinary community and a cherished caregiver for countless pets and their families.
With a lifelong commitment to the welfare of animals, Dr. Bvandeep Shergill brings a unique blend of knowledge and heart to his practice. His professional journey began with a deep-seated love for all creatures, large and small, and it has since evolved into a mission to provide top-notch veterinary care to our furry friends.
Dr. Bvandeep obtained license to practice veterinary in 2020. He started off with a small animal internship, then worked at an emergency hospital in Florida and eventually returned to Victoria to pursue serving patients along with his father at Vic West Pet Hospital.
When he's not tending to the needs of his patients, Dr. Bvandeep likes to spend time hiking, playing soccer, and singing.
Dr. Victoria Rudd
Associate Veterinarian
Graduated and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in the summer of 2023 from Ross University. She completed her clinical year at Purdue University, where she completed many rotations in various aspects of veterinary medicine. Dr. Rudd is very excited to start her veterinary career and serve our community.
In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family including her 5 mastiffs, swimming, hiking and various creative projects.
Breanna
Breanna grew up in the Cowichan Valley in a tiny house filled with animals. She joined our team as an assistant in 2017 while attending the University of Victoria.
Breanna has since moved into the manager's role in clinic, graduated with a Bachelors of Science and is currently studying to become an RVT.

Breanna enjoys coffee, books, and outdoor adventures with her husband, Soren, and their 19 year old puppy, Snoopy.
Abbey
Abbey is the clinic’s surgical assistant and coordinator. She has worked at our clinic for 1 year and, in this time, developed a passion for veterinary anesthesiology, and patient surgical care. Abbey is currently in school to be a registered veterinarian technician where she plans on advancing her knowledge and studies.
In her free time, Abbey loves to spend time with her friends, adventure the island, and take her kitten, Yumi, for adventures.
Pyper
Originally from Ottawa, Pyper moved to the Island eight years ago to pursue a degree in marine biology and live in a more temperate climate. Animal care made perfect sense as a start to her career, as she’s never had a time without a pet of some kind and cares for animals big and small. In her spare time,
Pyper likes to knit, read, and play with Greta (pictured here).

Danaka
Danaka first joined our team April of 2023, and has since spent her time expending her knowledge of veterinary medicine and prescription foods.
When between appointments you can find her studying or lending a helping hand to other team member, whether you're needing a friend to lean on or a hand holding an unruly dog, Danaka is there. If you ever have the pleasure of working with Danaka ask her for a fun fact, you won't be disappointed.
Liz
A warm-hearted individual hailing from Bogotá, Colombia, and she is a proud resident of Victoria since mid August of 2023. Her journey here was accompanied by her loving husband, Luis.
Her passion for caring extends beyond borders, especially towards her four-legged friends. Matias, her cherished Schnauzer who graced her life for 14 wonderful years. His memory serves as her inspiration, leading her to pursue a role at Vic West Pet Hospital.
Each day, she honors Matias by extending the same love and care to every pet that walks through our doors.
Erica
Erica was born and raised on Vancouver Island and feels lucky to call Victoria home.
She started at VWPH in December 2023 as apart of the reception team where she enjoys greeting pets and their owners, and strives to make their visit to the vet clinic as comfortable and positive as possible.

Kya
Growing up in Victoria with a variety of pets, working in animal care was an obvious choice. Starting here in September of 2023, Kya quickly took to assisting with holding patients and helping to keep the hospital stocked. Always the first to lend a hand, she has been a welcome addition to the team.
